Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
Staphylococcus bacteria
What we have found out with regard to Staphylococcus bacteria is that they are contagious, and the consequences of infection may be very serious and difficult to treat.
Cases of infection with Staphylococcus bacteria occur because these are germs that are commonly found on the skin or in the nose even among healthy people. In most cases the bacteria do not cause any problems and only lead to cases of relatively mild skin infections.
However, these bacteria may cause cases of deadly Staphylococcus infections if the bacteria go deep into the body, or get into the bloodstream, joints, bones, lungs or heart. The number of healthy people who are exposed to life-threatening Staphylococcus infections is increasing.
The treatment usually involves antibiotics and filtering fluids from the affected area. Nevertheless, not all cases of Staphylococcus respond to common antibiotics. (‘Adwa al-Mikroobaat al-‘Anqoodiyyah).
Secondly:
Ruling on marriage for one who has Staphylococcus
If it is proven that this disease is contagious, there is nothing wrong with getting married, provided that you inform the one whom you want to marry about that.
In the answer to question no. 69742 we explained that it is permissible for one who has AIDS to get married, provided that he informs the one he wants to marry about that, and AIDS is one of the most severe of contagious diseases that cannot be compared to what you have.
It is not permissible to conceal a contagious disease from a potential wife, because that is a defect which must be disclosed, according to the correct scholarly view.
