Masturbating without using the hands

Praise be to Allah.

Masturbation is haram, as is indicated by the Quran and Sunnah. See question no. 329. 

Masturbation does not necessarily mean using the hands. Whether it is done using the hand or not, or by touching the private part or not, it is still haram. The scholars have stated this clearly, including Ibn ‘Aabideen in his commentary on al-Durr al-Mukhtaar. Some people may do that using a machine or dummy etc, which are known as “sex toys”. This is also not permitted. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said that masturbation using the hands or otherwise is haram according to the evidence of the Quran and Sunnah, and sound opinion, etc. Fatawa al-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, ed.
