Praise be to Allah.
That is permissible and there is nothing wrong with it. The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pour water on his head because of heat or thirst when he was fasting, and Ibn ‘Amr used to wet his clothes with water when he was fasting, to reduce the severity of heat or thirst. Dampness or wetness does not affect the fast because it is not water that reaches the stomach. End quote.
