Does the hadeeth “Whoever loses
three children who had not reached the age of puberty…” include miscarried
foetuses into whom the soul had already been breathed?
We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, who answered as follows:
Yes, they are included, but they are not like children who have been born and to whom one has developed an attachment.
Question: but will a person get the same reward?
Answer: yes, we hope so.
