Question

I am a 24 years unmarried girl. My problem is that sometimes a yellow or somewhat white fluid is discharged but I do not need to use a pad for it because the quantity is small. According to my mother, it is because of physical weakness or tension, and she says that my maternal aunt had the same problem.

I read about this problem in different Doctor's magazines. They also take it as weakness.

Now my main question is that can I pray in that condition, and if I pray do I need to change my dress, and how long my wudu will be valid? One thing which I should make clear is that it is not bound to pre/post menstruation.

Summary of answer

There is nothing wrong with praying when you have this white discharge and you do not have to change or wash your clothes because this discharge is pure.

Praise be to Allah.

Types of discharge that come from a woman

In the answer to question no. 50404 , there is the ruling on the discharges that come from a woman’s uterus, in which we explained that the discharges that come from a woman’s uterus are tahir (pure), and what comes out from the urethra is najis (impure). In both cases the woman is required to do wudu.

Can you pray if you have white discharge?

Based on this, there is nothing wrong with you praying in this case, and you do not have to change or wash your clothes because this discharge is tahir

The period during which your wudu remains valid is the time of the prayer for which you did wudu. So you have to do wudu for the prayer after the time for it begins, and your wudu will remain valid even if this discharge comes out, until the time for that prayer ends, then you should do wudu for the next prayer, and so on.

It is not permissible for you to pray two obligatory prayers with one wudu , unless you have joined them for one of the reasons for which prayers may be joined.

And Allah knows best.
