I like to take a bath after breaking the fast, but it is said that the Prophet forbade taking a bath after eating. Is it true that there is a hadith from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) which forbids taking a bath after eating?
It is allowed to take a bath after or before eating, whether in Ramadan or at other times.
Praise be to Allah.
We do not know of anything in Islamic teaching which would indicate that it is not allowed to take a bath after eating or before doing so, whether in Ramadan or at other times. This is one of the matters that have to do with customs, and the basic principle is that it is permissible.
