Ruling on pictures shown on the television

Question 112133

The Angels do not enter a house in which there are images showing animate beings. What is the ruling on the images which enter our houses whether we like it or not by means of the television? I do not think there is any house that is free of these televisions nowadays.

Answer

Praise be to Allah.

Images on the television do not come under the same ruling as permanent images in the house, because they are shown and go. 

And Allaah is the source of strength. May Allaah send blessings and peace on our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions. End quote.
