Praise be to Allah.
These words are false and have no basis, and cannot be attributed to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) or be thought to be his words, by anyone who has the slightest knowledge of Islam and sharee‘ah, or the slightest share of reason and has any sense of shame that would prevent him from fabricating lies about the Lord of the Worlds.
Rather these words were attributed to him by one of the charlatans of modern times, may Allah deal with him as he deserves, quoting from a manuscript, according to his false claim. He said that it is to be found in a manuscript in Turkey!
What would any rational person think of that which is stated by a person who has no connection to knowledge, from an unknown source, the status of which he does not know?
Why the books of the Sunnah and compilations of hadith not refer to this momentous news, if it has any basis, and how could this unknown, ignorant man have learned about it?
“Glory be to You (O Allah), this is a great lie” [an-Noor 24:16].
To conclude, attributing these words to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is among the gravest of lies and fabrications. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever narrates a hadeeth from me knowing that it is false is one of the liars.” Narrated by Muslim in the Introduction to as-Saheeh (1/7).
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
This is a stern warning against lying and coming anywhere near lying, and it indicates that whoever thinks that what he is narrating is false, but still narrates it, is a liar. How can he not be a liar, when he is narrating something that did not happen? End quote.
One of the things which indicate that this hadith is fabricated is its stilted language, because the speech of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the most eloquent and clearest of speech after the Holy Qur’an.
