When is Du`a wishing for death allowed in Islam? -If fearing a loss of faith and religious commitment. -When seeking martyrdom in the path of Allah. -If longing to meet Allah out of sincere devotion. -Under extreme hardship, but only with the condition of saying: "if it is better for me." -Many Hadiths indicate that it is forbidden to wish for death in all circumstances, and that a long life is better for the believer, for it will allow him to increase his good deeds.

In order to get closer to Allah, the Muslim must establish the obligatory duties that Allah has enjoined upon him, such as the five daily prayers, all the other obligatory practical duties, such as honouring one’s parents, upholding ties of kinship, fulfilling the rights of one’s wife and children, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong.
