Zakah means worshipping Allah by giving that which He has enjoined of different kinds of zakah to those who are entitled to them according to the guidelines of the Shari’ah.

It is permissible to give Zakah in the form of goods such as fabric, food and so on, if it seems that this will serve the interests of those who are entitled to Zakah.
